Better than expected!,
This is the best of the screen protectors I’ve seen – solid, incredibly strong and resilient. Optical coatings improve scratch resistance and reduce glare so that screen is easier to see no matter what angle. It mounts with peel off backing adhesive – supposedly easy to remove if necessary.
Protector mounts slightly away from screen, so that even if broken/pierced, there’s a space buffer. Not much more expensive than plastic and rubber shields, but worth many times as much. Why skimp on a protector for a $1000 camera? You won’t do better than this!

Put one of these on my 40d in the hope it would work a little better than the plastic protectors. Visually, the optical glass is great. The plastic ones are hazy at best and difficult to clean. This one wipes clean easily and the view is clear. The other day I dropped my camera and the impact would have killed the LCD. The protector did it’s job. It cracked, but there is no damage to the LCD itself. An easy insurance policy to buy.

I have had the glass screen for about a month now. It has given me peace of mind about being careful for the picture viewer on my Canon EOS 40D camera.
