Does what it’s supposed to do!,
I was surprised at the ease of “installing” and the fit/finish of this glass protector. With the exception of the “GSS” name at the bottom, it looks like part of the camera.
The advantage I saw right away is that this glass screen doesn’t smudge nearly as much as the unprotected LCD screen. This is a real bonus, because I nearly always use the viewfinder to compose and shoot photos, leaving nose imprints and smudges on the LCD screen.
Good price, too.

|You need this screen protector!,
There are plenty of screen protectors out there:
*plastic pieces that adhere to the screen and leave bubbles if applied improperly
*screens that latch onto the viewfinder only to slip out and damage the screen and lose the eye cup
And you have this great item:
*clear glass that doesn’t obscure the high resolution of the LCD screen
*adhesive on the edges so bubbles are not an issue
I should have put this on my Canon T2i sooner because now there’s this super small scratch (from trying to clean the lens, no less)that irks the heck out of me. It should have been prevented. Now I consider that “imperfection” an individual characteristic of my camera because with the GGS Glass Screen Protector, it can take all of the bumps, dings and scratches while keeping the LCD almost pristine. If it gets too damaged, I can always buy a new one and apply it.
Facial oils, neck straps, table corners and the like, no longer keep me up at night.
Be aware that the “GGS” and “550D” label on the bottom will cover the “Canon” label. If you care about brand loyalty, don’t get this product. If you care about LCD protection, then definitely get this product!

|Great product,
Glass is very high quality. Once installed on my Canon T2i, I cannot even tell there is a screen protector on it. It looks like a part of the camera. The product title says for the 55OD but it can also be used on the T2i, which is the same camera sold in the US.
